Sometimes our calling in life reveals itself in unexpected ways. In the early 1980s, I worked in a fast-paced downtown Toronto marketing job. Today, I am a SelfMastery Coach, Grief Recovery Method Coach, Certified Yoga Therapist, Certified End of Life Doula.  SelfMastery Mentoring and Coaching Services, is a home-based business through which I offer a unique blend of highly effective, deeply healing methods, strategies and processes, all of which support Clients in swiftly healing and feeling better about their life…Body, Mind and Spirit.

My background includes working in long-term care as a Health Care Aide, and with individuals with both mental and physical disabilities. In the late 1970's, I studied Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross’ profound work related to death and dying. This began my passion for metaphysics and spiritual teachings.  I was introduced to the difficulties the dying and their loved ones have in coming to grips with the situation. It fascinated me, and little did I know this knowledge would someday serve me well as I evolved my practice.

That frantic job in the 1980's exposed me firsthand to enormous stress, and to counter that, I left the corporate world to explore my lifelong interest in alternative therapies including Yoga, Aromatherapy, Thai Yoga Massage and Reflexology, to name a few. This changed my life in such a positive way that I decided to focus on the discipline of Yoga and became a Certified Yoga Teacher in 2006.

At the same time this was happening, I became a student and eventually a teacher of “A Course in Miracles” – a spiritual Psychotherapeutic course that teaches acceptance of a thought-system based on love rather than fear. I have seen firsthand how SelfMastery Coaching using this philosophy transforms people into the very best version of themselves!

In 2009, my beloved mother died suddenly. Subsequently, my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and I became his Caregiver. During this time it became acutely aware to me how difficult it is for people to deal with dying, and Kubler-Ross’ teachings took on a whole new meaning.  Certified in The Grief Recovery Method and End of Life Doula Care, gives me even greater ‘tools’ to add to my SelfMastery Service, which is so needed today with our aging population.

For me, divorce, death, loss, a major move and a motor vehicle accident occurred within a 1.5 year period. During this difficult time, using all of my training, education and deep faith in Universal Principles helped  me navigate through these challenges.

My training is backed by hands-on experience and is geared to helping people find understanding, create effective life strategies, and experience peace within.  I am devoted to helping others heal and live life in a meaningful way, whether through SelfMastery Coaching, The Grief Recovery Method,  Yoga  and/or End of Life Care.
